Sounds lovely Is the kitty vaccinated? The best thing is to take them to the vet and ask for advice. I never neutered my toms before as they could all go outside. But as the kids are growing my wife and I spend more time in the apartment in the city and this is where the kitten grew, so we'll have to neuter him eventually.

What natural scents/smells do you like?

Scents:

books and libraries, lilac, vanilla, Playdoh (ok I know it's not natural!), rain, boat exhaust (ummmm yup).

Cats also usually have a wonderful personal smell and so do some people (strange fact, the people I really like, I also find their personal, natural scent comforting)

Citrus of any kind. For flowers, I like lilac, freesias and magnolias. I hate the smell of rose oil (instant headache and nausea) or other "heavy" scents like patchouli.

Except for jeans, I rarely wear any colours: left to my own devices I'd probably wear only black, white and grey. I mostly like cold colours and dislike pastels.

I won't even have grandkids.....I'm 59 years old, and have no children, and no prospect of children.

Really? You are extraordinarily caring in that case.

I thought you must have a child as you seemed to have such a gracious, big heart with the right thing to say to people, the right 'healing' way (like a parent would have practice doing) --
and pets alone can't do that. Maybe you're gifted in that.
I noticed my elder ('severe') is caring too and people feel the same about him. That he knows how to lift someone's spirits. Maybe when they decide to categorize someone as 'severe' they should include that as a component, I guess it's hard to see in a clinical setting and hard to measure.

I never plan on having children, let alone grandchildren or great grandchildren. If I somehow did, I doubt I would meet my great grandchildren - I certainly hope I wouldn't live that long.

I don't think so, I think the world will get too polluted and have smog ruining the air we breathe, and water wars (this is just stuff predicted in our religion, but i think it'll come true), and my younger would either not live till then or he wouldn't want to bring a child into that type of world destroyed by humans,,,

(the elder would not marry I don't think, even though he was the child who always hugged and kissed little girls -- and pictures of models, etc. LOL). I don't know how he thinks, though, he's too small. Or even if he has kids, they wouldn't want that at that point.
But I doubt people will want kids by then. except for Bill Gates' family and people like that, who accumulated and set up stuff already, anticipating such.
