I noticed one memory module floating around, but I figured there was some deeper meaning I didn't get. Maybe GLaDOS is replacing HAL, or maybe it's deeper than that.

This one I like better

I haven't read the book in question yet, but I think that comic is trying to say this:

Dave is a human who is in charge of maintenance of HAL 9000, an sentient AI. HAL tells Dave that someone else is replacing HAL, which would do science more efficiently. Dave is surprised and protests. That replacement turns out to be GLaDOS. The pink quotes are by GLaDOS and are Portal references from "Still Alive".

EDIT: Oh, you mean the one I edited. It's not really supposed to mean anything. Just a "play on words" to incorporate something from Portal.
Portal 2, which has the Space Core, was released in 2010.
The "memory module" you're talking about is the Space Core. In Portal 2, it rolls around excitedly and is obsessed with going to space. In the last scene, it screams "SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!! !! !! !! !! !!"

Yup, I totally got the comic, found it hilarious the first time I read it (especially so because it was qround the same time I beat portal 1, and the song was still fresh in my mind).

Space Core.. hum... I think it may be time to buy Portal 2

I feel unusually tired, tonight. I think I'll be going to bed shortly.

I just realized I've been using the verb "to argue", similar to the spanish one "argumentar", where I should be using "to discuss"instead' which sounds too similar to the spanish verb "discutir" which actually means "to argue".

This is Petrichor. She is not finished yet. I'll draw the other wing and color her tomorrow.

Would that make your avatar a cross between Petrichor and the swan you drew earlier?

Nope, it's GLaDOS in gryphon form.

G'night, and thanks, Makayla!

Hmm... I should go too. G'night, everyone!

EDIT: "Where shall we put the exclamation point on the iPhone? ...We shall put it right next to the question mark!"
