Yesterday I was out at 1 am, tipsy and alone and feeling very determined, and without knowing the way home. Then looking for some signal, any, I looked up at the sky. I saw Alpha Centauri, and not too far away, Beta Centauri. Then I noticed, right besides them, the four stars that make the Southern Cross. Then I knew the way home.

Who'd know stargazing would actually be useful for something :D

I wouldn't like to live in Hollywood. I'd be going crazy if I lived in Hollywood.

I'm still working at that job. I've been dealing with two workplace bullies. One of them is my supervisor and the other one is very old fashioned man who thinks that women can't do heavy work. There was one morning that he yelled, "Out of the way!" to me and he kept slamming the truck door on me, every time I was thinking of helping the guys move some heavy things, which I'm more than capable of doing. His sexist attitudes and behaviour towards me makes me feel even more uneasy about my biological gender, than I already am. I've told my boss about the behaviour over the phone. I'll be staying at that job until a better job comes along.

So I'm assuming that you work as a binman / dustman / garbage man etc as that's what it says on your profile.

How many hours a week do you work?

Had a Beastie Boys marathon today in memory of MCA. Listened to all their albums. It was nice.

Finished reading Eragon. In retrospect, the movie was a piece of [word not found].

Now I can read my library books before tackling Eldest.
