Try turning on the developer console, entering sv_cheats 1, and then entering god. That will turn on "godmode", where you won't die.

At least that's how it is in Portal and Portal 2. It should be the same for all Valve games.

EDIT: Nope, I tried it, and it doesn't work. Buddha should work though...

If TF2 wasn't a multiplayer game, I'd consider doing that. But since it is, I don't want to engage in unsportsmanlike behavior by cheating.

Have you played it yet, Albirea?

I haven't legit played it yet. I've finished the basic training for soldiers, though.

I originally wanted to go through training for all of the classes first, but my brother wanted to see what the actual gameplay was like, so I had no choice but to dive in headfirst. :P

I was going to say the same thing. What if it's you who's changed and not WP?

I wonder if people are going to think I'm a [word not found] n00b. Probably.

People probably (read: definitely) thought that about me during my first match earlier today. I was friendly-firing on my own teammates, running headfirst into enemy fire to try to be part of the action, and looking down at my keyboard to figure out which buttons to press when I was face-to-face with an enemy.

Ah. I friendly-fired tons of times too. Luckily, it was in offline training mode.

I remember at one point I was trying to help defend the checkpoint (or whatever it's called) so I ran right up to it, and some of my own teammates started friendly-firing on me. It was kind of funny.

They probably think you're a troublemaker and that they'd be better off without you. No worries though, you'll get better at it.

That's true on both accounts :lmao: But it's only natural that they thought of me as a troublemaker - I was playing the Scout, after all...

lol I was fourteen when I joined so of course I've changed; it also just feels like the types of people have changed since then.

People change more than they realize.

@IdahoRose: I was playing the bomb guy, so all I could do was throw grenades that blow up erratically. I need to learn to play the Heavy. He looks pretty tough.

What if you changed and that's why you see me differently?
