Thanks. :D

How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were?

Hmm this sounds like old man talk in the vein of "your only as old as you feel" But I'll bite, I would say I feel about 18 maybe. As I feel I'm not completely mature in some aspects, yet.

I think I stopped aging at round 23, and that suits me fine. 8)

Apart from the snazzy new haircut, did you do/get anything special for it?

Meh, nothing much - mostly listening to music while catching up with stuff online. 8)

I tinkered about a bit with the new flashgun, now successfully controlling the other one via the camera - and that works extremely well.
It doesn't just trigger it; the camera passes information about the selected aperture, shutter speed, distance to the subject and ambient light to the flashguns which then work out how far they are from the subject and adjust their output accordingly.
Net result? Extremely controllable and creative lighting.

I have several orchids coming into flower and wanted to make a much better job of photographing them than I've done previously, and I got the new flashgun a couple of weeks ago in preparation - then got distracted, as per usual, and finally caught up today.
Looking forward to hopefully getting out a bit this week, now that a summer might actually happen although somewhat ironically, I won't be needing the flash for that.

I should practice going to bed at the same time, every night.

I know a little bit about flashguns, but I am by no means a photographer. I'm glad you've tweaked it to the way you like it. And not to worry about the Summer, in the UK there will be plenty of time to get use out of it in low light.

Heh yeah, good point about the general low light situation...

I want to go strutting along the Interstate in my flak vest making chicken noises, stopping only occasionally to ask random cinder blocks if they’ve found my marbles…

My favourite thing about emptying the dishwasher is getting to colour coordinate the tea cups.
