No worries. Different people - different tastes and all that. I kinda expect people to not like the sorts of music I do anyway. :P Not that it's something I wish for like a teenager rebelling against their parents, just that I'm aware that much of what I listen to has a very abrasive / glitchy quality. That's partly what I love about it though. It makes me feel energized and I can also hear new sounds every time I listen to it as it's so complex and with such a heavily layered texture. It's the remarkable detail that blows me away, although I know that many others will just hear a mess.

Nice attitude. I dont hear a mess, it just sounds like a bunch of computers talking to each other. beeping, high fiving and then shutting off. Electronic music reminds me of the 1980's. I do like electronic music when done tastefully in metal, that crap like limp bizkit is totally unexeptable.

But For some reason I like this electronic band called Ace of base and Daft punk. I guess its because it reminds me of my sisters

Although maybe you just meant visually - if that's the case, then I agree.... He does look a bit lame doing all the silly DJ moves and stuff.

There's a much worse video of him and his silly DJ actions. The music is great though (You'd probably find it not so great). YouTube won't let me post the vid here.... It's a shame.

I think most DJs do. It's no worse than someone gurning on a guitar. It's all bad though. I think what he's using there is like a computer that you load patches of sound into and play them in time with the backing music, also a magic computer thing that seems to control volume / reverb / other various sound effects and filters etc as well as acts as a sound gate. There's a video on the 'making of' which will explain it further and go in depth with the equipment he uses. I haven't viewed it yet though so I cannot explain much.

I'm not so much into DJing as I am into production and programming though, but I'd still like that stuff. I bet it's costly....

Thats cool. I can apprechiate someone who is passionate about what they like no matter what, They use to have these things called "Raves" here back in the 90's and have guys like that. of course I only wanted to collect the flyers because they were so colorful, and now, I'm shure there a collectors item. I'd imagine those mixboards would indeed cost alot of money. Do you mix anything on your computer?

No I just have some music software comprising of synthesizers, samplers, a drum computer, and tons of effects and other complicated additions that I just meddle with and make the occasional composition from scratch. I wouldn't know where to start with mixing to be honest. All I know is that it's helpful to have the beginning and end of all the tracks in the same key so they blend easier.
