Yes, I've been driving for ... 35 years. Minus four years when I had my stroke.

Do you drive a boat?

(That's a lot of driving experience!)

No, I don't drive a boat, but both of my parents have a license. My dad has a boat.

How high off the ground do you live, and are you afraid of heights?

I live on the ground but sleep on the 1st floor (2nd to nearly everyone who's not British), as I'm in a house. I am pretty afraid of heights and won't bundgee jump or sky dive etc, but if its safe enough I can cross bridges over massive drops internally screaming at myself whilst doing so.

What do you normally have in a sandwich?

My sandwich is usually simple, it works best for my digestion that way. Bread (potato variety), mayo, cheese, ham.

Do you feel like flying on commercial airlines has become less fun in recent years? Have you had experiences before?

Yes, it's become less fun over the years. I remember when my grandparents used to fly in the 60s and 70s they would dress up to the hilt, because flying was still considered a very special outing. My grandmother would wear beautiful skirts or dresses with hosiery and heels, and carry a train case for her cosmetics. My grandfather always wore a suit and hat.

When I was younger it was a big deal for me to dress up on planes as well. Now you see people in their pyjamas and unshaven or looking like they're half asleep.

Since 911 the service has diminished not just with the increased security, but with onboard restrictions as well.

Yep.....it's almost like they don't need air hostesses (stewardesses) and hosts/stewards any longer.

Sometimes, you even have to pay for bag of pretzels or something!

Ever seen glacial ice up close?

I have never seen glacial ice up close.

Is there any country that you currently would like to travel to?

I wouldn't mind touring the beaches of Brazil......

Same question.

The best was Southwest Airlines, right before 9/11 when I flew LA to Vegas. The attendants all wore shorts and t-shirts, and they had pods of four seats facing each other like on a train. It was really fun.

I haven't seen a glacier closeup, but my other grandmother took a cruise around Alaska once. I was mesmerised by her "slides" (photos). I'm still looking for them because I know my parents got them after she died.

I would like to travel to Czech Republic.

How do you cure headaches?

I generally have some water, or if it's really bad, a Paracetamol or two.
Do you ever get side effects from vaccines/injections?

I've only had flu vaccine twice in my life. Once I got a really horrible superbug afterward. I was extremely ill for six weeks, but I don't know for sure if it was related. The other time I had no reaction at all.

Regular vaccines have never bothered me.

I've yet to have a side effect aside from the usual aches in the area where the needle went in. Getting the covid vaccine next week though so we'll see how that goes.
Are you nervous about medical procedures?

[Yeah, flying used to be a fun event, we dressed well, all flights (even 2 hour ones) had meals, it was just fun. I also wasn't as tall as I am now so I fit better into the seat rows. These days we're treated like cattle.]

[Hard to say, I have a severe fear of needles, or rather I know I'm not afraid but I faint anyway. Years ago I received a vaccine at school that my parents did not consent to (I received mandatory vaccines at an area clinic in the presence of my parents). I fell sick and the school had to call my mom to pick me up... because they administered a vaccine they didn't get a permission for. They thought it would slide and nothing would happen... You will not believe the scandal that caused.]

Yeah, needles. I'm not excited about surgeries, but what needs to happen needs to happen.

How do you like your fried eggs?

Not at all. I've had multiple operations and don't even think twice about them.

I get worried when it's my pets or my loved ones, though.

Eggs: sunny side up

Okay, fine, I'll answer my own. I like 'em scrambled. I'll eat any kind but don't care much for sunny side up. I like onions in mine, as well as ham or sausage. Tomatoes are only for when I'm in the mood, skip otherwise.

Are you a soup eater? If so, what kind do you like?

I like all soup except split pea.
