Ooh, Emily! Last I heard about was Don. I'm terrified of hurricanes, although you can at least outrun one of those. Can't do that with a tornado most of the time.

Weather Channel is awesome about reporting worldwide weather conditions. I usually don't even care what's happening here unless it's a good TS or hurricane, or some tornado aftermath. This year we also had record snowfall and flooding, so it's been interesting weather-wise, but scary too. I've happened to drive past a river, a pond, and a lake this year where they found dead bodies in them within a day or two. Freaky!

Well you see, the UK doesn't have a weather channel, as far as I know...
Maybe I should make it!

Well yeah, that's the TWC's sort of "branch" in the UK, as far as I'm aware. There is no TV channel that is dedicated to weather.
The forecasts here are rubbish anyway, BBC is only accurate to two days out!

The weather is hardly ever accurate. Just a few days ago there was a predicted 0% chance of rain, and, guess what, it rained.

Ah, seems I alienated people a bit with the weather!
Well, good morning clean people :)

Good morning, TenPencePiece.

Seriously though, WrongPlanet.net implies that I'm a 'Tufted Titmouse'. What the heck is that? :lmao:

Tornados are very rare here, but there was actually one not too far from here a month or so ago, can't remember when now.
But yes, that sounds rather...mindblowing!

I guess I'm pretty ignorant because I always thought America was the only country that got tornados.......I'll have to do some research on that now.

I remember when I first moved to Kentucky and all I could think of was "Oh god what if a tornado comes ripping through?" and sure enough, 6 months after I moved here, a funnel cloud forms directly over our house. Swear on my life. I'd never seen anything so horrific or beautiful in all my life. Luckily it never touched down but god was I scared!

Wow, yes, I would be!

Ooh, brief but heavy shower just now, but this isn't the weather thread ;)

Hah almost!
Well I'm in bed at 2am, where it's only 6-9pm across the pond, and daytime in Australia, so sometimes I do miss a bit!
