I wish I didn't have to wait two months for Frankenweenie to come out. It seems like it's so far away...

I figure if I'm looking for something new to obsess over, what better thing is there than the latest Tim Burton movie? It falls within the realm of a previously established interest, but it's something new and exciting. There are so many (rhetorical) questions I have about it - will it live up to the quality of Burton's previous stop-motion animated films? Will it have a happy ending like Nightmare Before Christmas, or a tear-jerker ending like Corpse Bride? Will there be lots of merchandise? What's the deal with Weird Girl? Who exactly is Victor's rival supposed to be - Nassor or Toshiaki? Will Victor and Elsa become a couple? All shall be revealed when my friend and I head to the theater to see the movie in October. :D

Glad to see that you're excited for this movie too, my friend. :) Burton loved Frankenstein too, which was part of the inspiration for this movie, the other inspiration being his own childhood dog.

I had a feeling someone was going to make a joke about the movie's title. I blush whenever I try to tell people about the movie in real life, because it really does sound like a porno. What's even worse is that the title really doesn't have a lot to do with the movie itself - the dog is not a "wiener-dog" (he's a bull terrier), and his name's not Frankenweenie (it's Sparky).

urgh parliament could be voting on a same sex marriage bill in a few weeks. and tasmania could be passing it. the federal bill probably will not pass but i still feel uptight about it. i've been protesting for this for 2.5 years and wanting it for longer. the suspence is killing me.
