i went mattress shopping today and i cannot decide between IKEA mattress and a sealy bed from snooze. ikea is slightly more expensive but they could deliver the next day so i could have both a mattress and base arrive on the same day but im not sure as to the quality. and the lady at snooze kept trying to convince me that i should buy more expensive beds as opposed to the $300 beds which she kept telling me were for kids and she kept trying to sell me them based on the fact that they could mould to my spine and this somewhat irritated me. it's like mate, i've been sleeping on the floor for the last 21 weeks, i dont care how high tech the bed is or if it is made for kids i just dont want to sleep on the tiles anymore. choice is hard.

The wind outside is getting scary. Really warm too. Decent bushfire weather.

I was wrong in the zombie thread.

Arrows and bolts from bows and crossbows do indeed punch through the human skull. I love PubMed.

So, if you don't have a firearm due to living in a sucky country where they're hard to get a hold of, and the zombies rise up, no worries, just pick up a bow or crossbow if that type of thing worries you (makes sure it's designed for deer hunting).

You can thank me later.

I gotta vote tomorrow for the council election.

Have to vote for independents below the line, not any of the groups above the line, otherwise we'll end up with another disastrous council. We haven't had a council for about 6 years now since they all got sacked for wasting money on this stupid entertainment complex they built in the CBD; it costs 7 figures a year to run the joint. They didn't care, they had part shares in the 5 star motel nearby so anything to improve the value of their own investments (out of towners could stay at the motel after catching a show y'see). WILL NOT vote for Besseling! He'll just let Oakeshott stick his fingers in the pie!

What's the Liberal Democratic Party like in Australia? They sound quite good last time I had a look at Aussie politics.
