getting free publicity for our far left organisation by right wing media.
from the australian:

Quote:
Palestinian activists with links to the Socialist Alternative movement are planning to press on with a picket of the Max Brenner chocolate shop in Parramatta.
...
Patrick Langosch, the organiser of tonight's rally, a member of Socialist Alternative, told The Australian the action would proceed despite last Saturday's violence in the CBD.

from the age:

Quote:
The Socialist Alternative is also organising a meeting for Thursday, according to a flyer seen by The Age, to discuss how to fight US imperialism and anti-Muslim racism.

The flyer claims that police brutally attacked protesters in Sydney and that ‘‘solidarity with Muslims is the key’’.

The group has been contacted to confirm that the meeting at 6.30pm at Trades Hall is going ahead

 they advertised our meeting for us and everything. who said flyers and posters are old fashioned? our melbourne comrades must be happy.

I think when Commodore Perry's Ships landed in Japan in 1858, that's how all English-translated manga and anime got to happen.

The conversation between one of the other clarinettists from my orchestra and I sounded a lot more romantic than it actually was at one point, or at least it would if you only heard that line. We were talking about where we'd stand on the stage, as we needed to be next to each other to listen to each other as our parts were similar.

Her: Do you want it to be you, me, him, or me, you, him, or...?

Me: I don't care where I am as long as I'm near you.

i recognized a fly i saw today, and it was the same fly that harassed me 2 weeks ago. i thought that i had better not ring the police, because if the fly was gone again when they got here, it would not look good.

i wished i had had my camera close by, because i would have taken a HD shot of him, and stuck posters everywhere (with the picture of the fly) asking "have you seen this fly? if you can provide details as to where this fly can be found, you will be entitled to a ...reward".

the fly is still at large and i have all my doors and windows sealed and i am off to bed.

I learned that Brandon Maggart, who played Lou on "Brothers" (aired on Showtime in the 80s), is Fiona Apple's dad.

I finally got a diagnosis of Asperger's. It's kind of a relief to know. I just wanted to share it somewhere but didn't want to make a thread.

I love to read about things and gather information (for hours and hours). Among today's topics: magnetism, vitamin C, Hyperlexia, sleep apnea, insomnia, Dysthymia, Alexithymia and kiwifruit.
