Sometimes books are sent bulk rate so they take longer to arrive.

Ok
If Amazon sends a notice email telling u theyve been shipped that would be true right?
It was sent weeks ago..
Or can people just say they shipped but not do it that day

Well if you're buying from an independent seller then yeah they can say they shipped and ship late and ship as cheaply as possible. I know two of the slowest things can be books and anything bought from someone in China.

But you might also have a problem. Any chance that a "porch pirate" grabbed your parcel?

gosh i hope if they did, they are put off by the worthlessness of the contents
(very old books, worth nothing i would imagine). enough to return it .

"Pong" was the first somewhat commercially-successful video game. It was quite expensive. The "average Joe or Jane" couldn't really afford it.

I didn't play video games until about 1978-1979. I used to play pinball.

We had the tv set version in 76/77. Green balls bouncing from one side of the screen to the other. Wired control boxes.

You never saw Pong in arcades. Space Invaders was the first really popular video game.

Why is he called Alice Cooper?

Is it a funny/joke thing?

I guess humour along with horror/drama mixed into his performances?

I have no idea, this is just from articles I read about him after seeing a sticker with his name on the back of a truck. He seems like the 'tongue-in-cheek' over the top, theatrical for the fun of it, type. Like my middle brother. He is a born performer.

He was sort of into David Bowie-type “glam rock.” There was a pre-Goth thing to him. Glam rock involved much gender-bending. He’s actually a heterosexual man.

I think even Bowie was mostly heterosexual.

Oh I wasn't questioning that, as I don't care about those things. I mean, is it (his name) a part of humour (that genre), is that type of performance meant to have humour in it, or to be taken completely seriously ?

It's sunny and nice.
I got different books from the library yesterday instead of studying--some are about makeup and beauty, the rest are about boosting one's brain power.

I read through the beauty ones last night (skimmed mostly), have to start the brain ones today. I feel like my brain is a lost cause but I like to know.

:) I was sent a book giving tips for how to live like a cat instead of an Asperger's book from Amazon once. The seller let me keep it and sent the right one- I'm still undecided about which has been more useful to me.

That's so funny! Because there is a book somewhere mainly for kids called All Cats Have Aspergers Syndrome.

I don't agree at all though I love cats, but I love the idea!

I've heard of that! I think there's also one called All dogs have ADHD.

This picture combo is used for thousands of memes, so many that it's become something that people make memes mocking it. :D
