^Same here, eventually. Took me four years. I had to give up my last car when I moved into town and no longer needed it. I'd have some lessons before I went back to driving again, but I keep up my driving licence, it is supper useful as I don't have a passport.

I passed at 27 but I lived in a small (no shop) village three miles from town and I was a bar maid. A taxi home was

two hours pay. I did a lot of walking (during daylight) and was given lifts by the doorman a lot, but when I passed

and got my first car it made a massive dif to the hours I could work. I don't think I would ever have been able to

move out of my dad's house without first passing my test even though I didn't need the car and to be able to drive

after I'd moved. By the time I left my Dad's I was 33 and had savings (thanks to working more hours) and a more

reliable job. Having the car made me feel more in control of the move too. Previous moves (one night and less)

ended in meltdowns.

I must say you are pretty resourceful.

You must have gotten lots of exercise then when you had to walk the three miles.

But you really needed the car then. You did good.

You must have also been tough to have warded off all the creeps. You’re a survivor.

Which creeps? Did I miss something? Would someone mind explaining please?

My new year's resolution is to:

Be more courteous and take up phrases that are very gracious and make ppl feel at ease _
(Excel in manners)
(to do this I must observe which things do this in daily life, and then incorporate it till i guess it becomes natural)...

not curse people (2 people only actually) and tell myself it's a prayer , since it boings back onto you and doesn't even touch the people who are protected by satan

not talk about lawyers or law clerks to anyone anymore, unless unavoidable and relevant

open a savings account or figure out a way to save without interest (i.e. no trust funds)

Give my sister and her new husband happy times eg dinner party

Seek out better therapisrs and get kid on ipad communication device

Admireable style . In kinda middle-earthy sense . Obviously not a animal rights first kinda wardrobe. Wonders if sucha person might even make slurping sounds whilst inhaling his swill . MOST UNIQUE, Capo' good to see horns are still in style .

It would be less lame if actual boxing matches took place in the middle of the shops to attract customers...

The box in Boxing Day is the box that servants took home to their families the day after Christmas Day with food in from the day before when they will have both worked and feasted at the cost to their lords. It's not at all lame; it's most people's favourite day because there's all the food of Christmas but with none of the obligations. The shops should be bloody shut.
