The Strumgeweher was made in spite of Hitler's disaproval, he said it was too ugly. It was snuck in as a submachinegun under budget development.

Oh, and the AK-47 was not based on it. It is Kalashnikov's personal design.

Okay, that's something that can be fixed. Do you still have it?
Sometimes, some manufacturer will tweak the design of a part, and then you'll see the rifle getting sensitive.
Was it a failure to feed, failure to extract or failure to eject?

The main problem is that the AR-10/15/M-16 is not very tolerant of any foreign materiel in the system. It's a problem shared by most western equipment. Keep it clean or it jams.

Heres some more useless info:

The average Browning M2 HB (Heavy Barrel) is older than the average soldier that fires it at least twice over. The one assigned to my RHIB I piloted in the Navy was made in 1938 and the top of the reciever was covered by so many rebuild stamps that they had begun to grind down the oldest stamps to restamp with current ones.

Short recoil, failure to extract, failure to feed, failure to lock back after the last round. Like I said, excessive fouling in the gas tube, I had to clean it every time I used it. No, It wasn't 'exactly' mine, being as I was fourteen at the time; it belonged to my mother's boyfriend (though I paid for my own ammo, and pretty much had sole providence over that rifle). After they broke up, that was that, and I haven't fired a gun since, though that's (hopefully) soon to change.
