I'm 1/4 French Canadian. One of my grandfathers grew up in one of their diasporas on the East Coast. His parents moved south of the border looking for work back when the world had looser borders. My grandmother could also claim UK citizenship because her mother immigrated over after WWII after marrying my solider great grandfather (whose parents came from Ireland). I'll never get by descent citizenship because its 4 generations back

Do they have a nice clock tower there?
There actually is a clock tower where I really live. It's one of my favorite features of the place.
Very cool. We have a clock tower near here where we take walks. It chimes every 15 minutes, and without fail startles me everytime

Ugh what's wrong with me? I'm both bored and tired, I should have no qualms with getting ready for bed, yet I can't muster up the will to do it.

.Ours just bongs out the hour. When the bell is working.
One time I was standing across the street from it when someone passing by asked if I knew what time it was.
"Are you serious?"
Looks at me puzzled.
"There's a giant clock right there".
Looks at it with a surprised expression like it appeared out of thin air.
