I’m trying the homemade cider recipe I posted pages back. It’s bubbling away.
Hope it’s drinkable.

^We make cider, it's piss-easy, excuse the pun.

I've been very dry this week because of
a) migraine
b) drugs for migraine not going well with alcohol.
c) hangover from migraine making me queasy.
Pass.

^ I hear a lot of this kind of talk but never see or hear of doctors who are willing to hand out this kind of treatment.

I had a schooner of XXXX Gold with lunch.

Drinking a bottle of Australian 'Wollemi Shiraz' from Sainsbury's. Very much at the bargain basement end for this sort of stuff at £4.25. It's not bad for the price.

I met a hippy doctor that was working with shrooms with his patients.

Thing is, one does not need a doctor to eat mushrooms. They're available to pick, grow, or buy. We also now have several shroom dispensaries around Vancouver. Dana Larsen just opened his 3rd location - where he also sells coca leaf tea, lsd, dmt etc, alongside a couple dozen different strains of mushrooms in various doses/microdoses.

People don't need a prescription to eat mushrooms, though.

Ended up having 3ish drinks yesterday. Splash of whiskey, 1 beer, splash of whiskey.

Haven't decided if I'll drink today, maybe, maybe not - if so, minimally. 10mins to Noon and I'm still contemplating which beach I should go to lol gonna check the weather, traffic reports, shuttle boat schedule etc etc and see if it makes sense to throw my s**t together and go kiting Today or nah maybe too late in the day already by the time I get gear sorted and I should just get it all staged for tmw and head to my regular beach @ Wreck and then maybe dip out early in order to hit up Sunset Beach well before 10pm as there's a first annual Indigenous music festival going on from 1-10 called Circle Festival. (modern Indigenous hip hop etc, not "traditional," powwow drumming)

I was sozzled earlier today before having had a nap to sleep the alcohol off somewhat.

I don't drink often, probably once every four weeks.

Had 8 cans of cider yesterday. Woke up at 2 AM sweating and feeling a bit crap. Had a coffee and plenty of water and feeling a bit better now. Am going to try and have a few days off the booze.

Just finishing off a 750ml bottle of Hoegaarden. Home Bargains are selling this for £2.49, and it goes for around £3.50 at other UK supermarkets now. Fill your boots.

Also had a 500ml can of Monastere Double earlier. Quite strong and very cheap at £1.25, again at Home Bargains. Not over-impressed by this stuff, quite honestly.

This guy paid £1.59?

Now on a 600ml bottle of Guinness Foreign Extra from Home Bargains (7.5% alcohol). This is definitely my favourite version of Guinness, brewed in Nigeria. You could get this stuff for around £2 a few months ago, but it's now £3.19 in Home Bargains and £3.49 at B & M, doesn't seem to be available at any of the mainstream supermarkets. I think I'll save half of this for tomorrow...

Drinking a bottle of Nero D'Avola, usually a very potent Sicilian Red: it actually seems a bit tame, though it's 13% alcohol. Maybe because it's a budget job from Aldi (£4.49).

Had One (355ml can) of Sleeman's Honey Brown yesterday on the boat ride back from Spit (Kite) Island after barreeeeelly kinda technically getting out kiting - lol the wind dropped off sooo my session never really got started as the wind was too weak to go up wind. Gave away a few more beers to others on the last boat off the island, too. Always good to spread around the common currency so people are even more nice about retrieving your board for you if it gets away from you and you can't get back to it.

Didn't feel like drinking any more. I did have a few tokes last night though - which has been pretty rare as I've only smoked ~1/8th or so in the last Year. Coffee now, Might have a beer later, might just stick to water/buble (soda) waters.

Bin 201

A Spanish 'Fruity Red' wine. The only budget-priced bottle in our local 'One Stop' mini-market at £4. Prices there have gone through the roof - a bottle of 'Jam Shed' Red wine, which was £6.50 last year is now £9.50. I wouldn't have bought that anyway, even at the old price, as it's too sweet and sickly, but this store is taking liberties here, I think.

The Bin 201 is very acceptable stuff for £4.

Made the trip to go kiting again yesterday and the wind was off the charts strong so I made the safe decision to have a spectator day. I bet some of those guys had some of the biggest hangtime of their lives - they could have cleared a few houses at a time kind of thing.

Drank one Sleeman’s Honey Brown on the beach and one Steamworks Gummy Sour Fuzzy Peach (candy tasting beer) on the boat ride back.

Just coffee this morning. A few days of crap weather (but tmw might be ok for the city), then 2 days of kite weather, then a string of crap days. Might have to get some work done lol
