My parents went to the Justice Of The Peace to get married, instead of having a big wedding in the April of 1975.

We had huge vegetable gardens when I was a child growing up. The extended family would care for it and then my mother, aunts, and grandmother would can and freeze a large part of the harvest for us to eat throughout the fall, winter and spring months. Our tomatoes and cucumbers were the best.

My mother played the electric guitar and violin while I was growing up in the 1970's. She was an Astrologer and read Tarot Cards she also collected little Buddhas statues and burned incense everyday. Psychics, Witches and Astologers would often gather at our house in the evenings and sit around drinking wine and giving readings, working on charts and discussing all kinds of fascinating things. I use to love to sit around and listen to them.

Most of them are fanatical birdwatchers.

My mother is so naive when it comes
to age and physical appearance.

She believes people don't age but won't admit it.

My parents have holy water with the condiments on the lazy susan.

My grandpa was a pharmacist for 30 years.

My father is a hippie. He owns a wardrobe comprised of 3 robes, a turban, hemp shoes, hemp shirts, hemp trousers, really a lot of hemp all of which is at the extreme of one of three base colours. He also has a beard which he cycles between plaiting, decorating with beads or simply tying it in a knot. I take after him.

I believe my great grandfather's people were Roma (Gypsy).

My family is pretty "white bread" with the exception of a spot of Native American. That was a long time ago, she was the cousin of Matoaca, otherwise known as Pocahontas.
