As I had expected it to be, my accent is neutral. What's really hilarious is that I'm not even from the States, and I live in a part of Canada were we're all supposed to comically mispronounce everything and sound Irish or Scottish.

I do, however, pronounce pasta with the same A sound as "father", which I pronounce the same way as "bother".
I used to pronounce it the other way, but I guess I trained myself to say it the other way because I thought it was the "right" way. When I was a kid I don't think people here even knew the word pasta existed. It was always called "noodles". Spaghetti noodles, lasagna noodles, rigatoni noodles, noodle noodles...

I call regular noodles just 'noodles' and fancy noodles 'pasta'.

I guess my accent is somewhere between a Cheshire accent and a Manchester accent (so basically North-West English), given I live in both Greater Manchester and the Cheshire postal zone. I live in an area that's closer to the Mancunian side of things, but my parents are both from further south in the borough so speak closer to the gentler Cheshire accent (plus, my mother's mother is from the south of England, so there's a bit of southern in there too). I suppose that stuff along with my tendency to utilise the range of my vocabulary makes me sound a bit 'posh' to those who live in my area. Unfortunately, I'm economically the opposite of posh, as my family is very much working-class. XD

Mine's southern or Louisiana if people know what that is. I live in Vermont now & I was told 1ce from a relative that I picked up alittle bit of a Yankee accent.
