This one is special, its in between errors in a way. Amazing it
got away with that sharp pointy edge sticking out.
Its almost an elliptical strike-clip, and its a stiff collardie error. The collar
die that hold the planchet in place when its struck is supposed to
move up and down if it gets hit. On this it has jammed in the up
position, the planchet have landed just slighty off-center between the
dies and then the dies have squized one side of the coin almost off. If
it falls off the coin get an elliptical shape, hence the name. Only stiff-
collar error i`ve seen that got so sheared without breaking

For those who like details and dont know much about this,
look for the comlete error/variety category list. You will not
belive! how many different ones there are

and its still
not complete! I printed it out, used around 15-20 A4 pages

and its just line after line with text, no pics. Have memorized
maybe 80% of it, around there, massive job, so many small
differences and things that are similar
Awesome.
That gets my vote as a very worthwhile obsession, with lots to remember/absorb. Similar to my obsession with coin prices, according to their grade(mostly higher grades).
