I don't want to be happy. I want to be constantly stable enough to do my job without being distracted by grief.

because both ice and cream can be bought in a single supermarket.

i think i understand the reticence that many people in the U.S.A have about gun restriction laws after playing far cry 3 tonight.

when i am in a "safe zone", i have no ability to draw a weapon, and when i am addressed by other characters in those zones (eg: "hello mate"), i have an overpowering urge to kill them, but i have no means to do so and it makes me feel frustrated.

in places outside safe zones where i have a weapon drawn and ready, and where i am in the vicinity of characters who are on my side who also try to address me, i have no desire to incinerate them or blow their heads off because i have the capacity to do so. when i do not have the capacity to do so in safe zones i just stand chest to chest in defiance of who i dislike, hoping that they will get mad, but they never do.
i dare say that i will consider my appraisal of the matter complete, even though it never attained a conclusion. i do not care enough to strive for a conclusion in this field of thought.

Just saw a part of that 'Miley Cyrus: The Movement' reality show. I gotta admit I was on Miley's side with the whole 'Wrecking Ball' video (because it initially didn't seem like a standard 'sex sells booty-shaking' video to me), and looked with some bemusement at the uproar that the video was causing (there've been more controversial videos in the past).

I always figured her to be something of a perfectionist, so that part didn't surprise me, but it does seem that Miley gives herself a little bit too much work and not enough fun. She was pretty much stressing the whole time, during rehearsals, during recording, while driving up to the VMAs, et cetera. Everything has to be 'awesome', and everything has to be 'the best thing ever' or she'll be devastated. Seems that the initial fame that hit her at such a young age with the Hannah Montana show tore away at her childhood something fierce. And that's sad to look at.

So right now I'm mostly feeling sorry for Cyrus. I thought she had it all worked out in terms of choosing her own course as a pop musician, but I'm wondering how much in control she really is.

I've fantasized for years about being a rock star. Given my addictive nature, however, I probably would have OD'd by age 40.
