There's a nice soft glow of reflected light which really gives the bark a texture and depth.

i just got an Olympus Pen EPL-1 for my birthday last week!! ! and i got a macro telephoto lens for it (no idea what kind it is lol, there are lots of numbers on the lens but i don't know which ones are applicable). i plan to also get a close-up filter, eventually.

Probably around the base of the lens or on the end. Post them all :)

the lens says Olympus Zuiko Digital 35 mm 1:3,5 Macro

and there is some kind of adaptor because the camera is four-thirds, whatever that means.

Hai. The lens I want to get will have slightly better macro. I was just curious because I really liked the pics. That camera is interesting. Vintage look.

yeah, it looks like an old SLR. i have a couple of really old cameras too, but i can't be bothered to work with film. 2 Canons from the 70s, and a Kodak and an Exakta from the early 1950s.
