I believe the internet and the forms of online services such as cell phones and iPads, etc., should never have been invented. A person almost has to become paranoid in order to guard themselves against attacks. Now, every email message or phone call I get from an unfamiliar source makes me nervous about its intent. Although incredibly convenient with its online shopping and communication, it has become a treasure chest of opportunities for criminals to attack innocent people.

23% of Americans have been the victim of an internet crime.
73% of Americans have experienced an online scam.
96% of Americans report receiving online scam messages weekly.

Though scams have existed for centuries, never has it escalated to the degree that it has with the online world.

With online crime aside, I believe the internet and online services have damaged a large degree of family and friend's social interactions. Well, I would go on, but because of online stuff happening right now in my house, I can't even concentrate on what I am trying to write. Sorry.

Nuclear Weapons. This is a very large thread that I haven't read through and I expect that has already been said several times.

Energy drinks. They cripple my emotions and get me high and stupid. I used to get so high that I'd forget who I was for 5 hours at a time and act in a Mod-like manner.

Air bags. Kids can't sit in front anymore because they're too dangerous, and the number of babies and toddlers dying because their parents forgot they were even in the car has greatly increased. Also they frequently cause more harm than good to the adults in front during an accident. Seat belts save lives, but not air bags.

Social Darwinism
oh they claim its only nazi's
United States;
Within American society, ideas of social Darwinism reached their greatest prominence during the Gilded Age. Some argue that the rationale of the late 19th-century "captains of industry" such as John D. Rockefeller (1839–1937) and Andrew Carnegie (1835–1919) owed much to social Darwinism, and that monopolists of this type applied Darwin's concept of natural selection to explain corporate dominance in their respective fields and thus to justify their exorbitant accumulations of success and social advancement. Rockefeller, for example, proclaimed: "The growth of a large business is merely a survival of the fittest ... the working out of a law of nature and a law of God."

i learned about this crazy (american?) thing lately, o-o
Scofield Reference Bible
Scofield introduced the Scofield Reference Bible, which crystallized dispensationalism in the United States.
Dispensationalism was systematized and promoted by John Nelson Darby and the Plymouth Brethren in the mid-19th century. It began its spread in the United States during the late 19th century through the efforts of evangelists
