For my second kitty kat I wouldn't mind a British Shorthair (see: the original I can haz cheezburger cat), but since when did purebred animals become so damn expensive?! I'm lucky if I can get one of these kitties for under $700. And why is every second litter of kitties bloody Ragdolls? I don't understand why they're so expensive considering the market is totally flooded with them.

Why would you buy a pet in a pet store?

They are almost with guarantee damaged goods, especially puppies. Even if they weren't when they were supplied to the store.... It is no good for a pup to spend its critical early development weeks in a cage on display. And good luck housebreaking a pup that has grown up in a cage.

Fish may be OK, they are pets too of course.

Only ever had one dog, from a breeder. Ended up giving it to my father. We've had horses, angora goats, chooks, ducks, guinea pigs, quails and rats. Currently we've got fish, a rat and the latest addition, a hand raised parrot. I was pretty naive. I thought the bird was going to live in its cage, but it spends most of the day on someone's head or shoulder, or free roaming the house. The washing has tripled since we got it.

I'm not an animal person, but I have kids who are.

I'm not quite sure how you can put El DeBarge, Barry White, James Ingram, and Al B. Sure! all on one record and make a song that's not so much sexy as it is sleep-inducing.

Bad Quincy! No biscuit!

Say it together... That's the way it should be!

You know, it's eerie, because I was just now listening to Lionel Richie's 'Do It To Me'.
