I remembered my mums birthday at the last minute with only one day to get presents and such which made me quite anxious. Plus, I've felt very rusty with my social and motivational skills, but I managed to push myself and go into town today and get everything that I needed. Not much, but still a small victory for me. I hope to continue keeping my motivation up :)

today was not bad. i was worried my tutorial would be stressful because we were told beforehand what we would be doing and the lesson plan was a breaking the ice activity where we would have to talk to people and then we would have to organise ourselves into groups to do our oral presentation in the future but things worked out.
i wore my political badges- Free Palestine and the queer pride flag ones. we are encouraged to mark ourselves out as political so that we attract lefties in our classes and it does have that effect, also to show solidarity with the cause but also i have the issue where i make friends and they turn out to be a***holes so i mark myself out as queer and ethnic/anti racist by wearing the badges. today it worked. the guy i sat far away from but was closest to became my partner because of proximity. he eyed my badges and after i told him i was left wing he came out to me. i came out back. but we couldnt say it in front of the class because he doesnt like anouncing these things. he is anti racist as well and thinks this country has issues.
unfortunately this doesnt always work and i still end up with racist or homophobic friends but the rates are lower. i've definitly noticed a change in the way people in class respond to me. sometimes it is a good change and sometimes it is not.

My mom brought a cat home from the shelter. (Our previous family cat disappeared about a month ago; I think a coyote might've gotten her. :( )

She (the cat) has adjusted pretty well over the last 3-4 days. I think she might've been abused at her previous home, because if I raise my hands over her or make a sudden movement her tail fluffs up and she runs for cover. So, I've resisted the urge to forcibly pet or pick her up, but she comes over to me with no hesitation at this point. I <3 my cats. And they also seem good for my dodgy mental health.

She's a Calico; mostly white with a calico pattern on the top (dorsal) 1/4 of her back.

sorry about your old cat but congratulations on the new one. they warm up to you eventually. its so sweet how they treat you like property.

today we had a successful film screening at uni.
i also went past payless shoes to look at the black volleys and see if there was an identical pair to the one i had early this year and they were on sale so i got a pair. i hope i have no problems with them since i havent felt right since the old pair was thrown out. i can wear these on saturday and tuesday like i used to.
i also went to youth group. it is odd because it is wednesday.
and i went out and tried on mens clothes. i look good in a black shirt and purple tie (im kidding myself a little).
and i realised i am an idiot. i was so focused on finding herbs for the backyard that i forgot to look for vegies and fruit specifically as opposed to incidentally and i have also wanted to plant Lillipilli for forever and it is a rainforest plant so it could work in the yard and the fruit tastes great(like apple). god im so blind sometimes. it was so obvious.

today was foundation day at uni and there were stalls and things and student union members get free icecream. i lined up twice which equals four scoops. there was also free cake you could decorate and free biscuits you could ice and decorate with lollies and they were so scrummy(scrumptious/yummy). and a man gave me a mars bar and tried to convert me to christianity but never say no to free food.
