I'm getting my tea from Aldi (their Red Label brand) since ASDA put their prices up.

Food prices have gone crazy high in my city. State benefits & wages have stagnated in line with inflation since 2008, continously.

I get my teabags from sainsburys. I think I get 160 for £1.09p. The same price as Aldi but a bit of a stronger brew.

Ive noticed the coffee in Aldi has gone up and so has the lamb steaks. Still the cheapest around though.

Those Sainsbury teabags sound very cheap, I'll have to check them out! Sainsbury's are usually more expensive than ASDA, and a lot more expensive than Aldi. I don't like to pay more than 1p per teabag....

They're Sainsburys own brand. I'm not too sure if they're the same price at all sainsburys stores or if it's because they're in direct competition with Aldi near me because the stores are next to each other.

I was quite pleased to see that you can get a serloin steak in sainsburys for £2.75 as well. They are a bit thinner cut but still cheap.

You've just gotta shop around.

The Cranborne Poacher

A rather unlikely name for a Ruby Ale from Sainsbury's. It's pretty good.

Brewdog 'Layer Cake'

'Marshmallow & Chocolate Stout' it says on the tin.

Who'd be daft enough to pay £3 for 440 ml of this? Well, me, it seems. Lol, it's okay, but a bit of a gimmick, like many such products invading our supermarket shelves right now.

Just hot water right now - I've already had probably too much coffee for the day And I know I'm still going to finish the last cup in the pot in a couple hours soooo water to offset it. Cool rainy day today, so put the kettle on vs. just room temp water. Supposed to rain for a week - maybe I'll make soup. 8)

Expired Vanilla Coke. Forgot about that 12 pack at the bottom of the cupboard. Tastes fine. :|

Baron Saint Jean

A very cheap (£2.99) red wine from Aldi. How do they manage it at that price? Anyway, it's wubbish, but it's Saturday Night/Sunday Morning, so who cares? Not me, that's for sure...

Alberta Premium special edition cask strength - newest release for 2022.. not quite as good as the world whiskey of the year batch from 2020, but still pretty decent.
