Back when I was playing Socom: CA online, I liked the STG-77 and the RA-14, both with suppressor 1 and a front grip. I was a surgeon with both of those.

Never really was all that great at sniping.

Ultima was a good waepon from FF.

Soldat- the FN Minimi. I've used it for 3 years and counting. Being an offical Beta tester for the game now, I have to try and keep unbaised and not make it too overpowered.

Its charm is in the way that very few people use it despite it being a good weapon; its like a wild horse- it can be great as long as you learn to control it. As so few people use it compered to the other weapons, it's like having my own personal weapon even though its a multiplayer game.

Yeah - but the Handcannon magnum in Resident Evil 4 is even more overpowered (it's a .50 calibre pistol that can take out bosses with only a few hits). Still, even that pistol pales in comparison to the laser-gun you get for free after finishing the game once, which can kill the final boss in one shot.

i think the spartan laser is cheap...

I also really liked the RazorJack from the original Unreal. It was hard to use, but it was always so satisfying to get a decap from around the corner with it. I have a goofy idea about building a real version of one, using the blades from pizza cutters as ammo. It'll have to wait till my pneumatic stun gun is done, my crazy weapons projects are a little backed up at the moment...

The Razorjack is most certainly my favourite. My favourite was to spam a room full of opponents in deathmatch and then run - only to watch the Monster-kill appear on the screen.

My favourite Resident Evil 4 weapon is now the laser-gun you get after finishing the game on Normal/Professional. You can take down entire roomfuls of bad guys with it... and it killed the final boss in one shot. I used to think the tommy-gun was the coolest weapon in the game, but the laser-gun not only kills in one shot, but it also grants you 100% accuracy...

I liked a lot of the weapons in the Unreal series...a major departure from the normal FPS fare. My faves are probably the flak cannon, the link gun, and the 8-ball launcher.
