(Ya know just curious: is it actually pleasurable to get a hug? Like...does it actually make people happier and feel better to receive one? Does it matter if you're the giver or receiver?)

Sometimes it makes me feel awkward to recieve one but it's the thought that counts. :)

So its the intent behind the hug? Does the person have to say for example love you in order for you to feel loved from a hug? And Im assuming it has to be a longer-than-average hug right? How long is the right length? Just wondering. Im kind of curious if hugging is a naturally pleasurable act or if theres something else connected.

When somebody hugs me it just lets me know that they care about me. But to be honest I always feel a little awkward when somebody else touches me for any reason. Maybe it's a sensory thing?
