Another portrait shot of Lagos city centre streets:
Before going back to our accommodation we went for another beer at a bar. The beer on the left is my mother's and is Super Bock lager (5.2%) and the one on the right is Super Bock Stout (5%), which definitely isn't a stout but is actually a dunkel.
After finishing a good afternoon's walking, this was dinner, eaten at our accomodation, comprising a selection of meats with Portuguese cheese (entirely tasteless, alas) and salad:

Some more photos now, this time from the town (and major tourist resort) of Albufeira on the Algarve coast. These were all taken in the town which is quite a distance away from the main drag:
A selection of businesses just away from the main strip. There are plenty of "Irish" bars nearby, full of extremely noisy football fans and the like.
Gift shops selling tat. This sort of shop is common to places like Albufeira and other magnets for British tourists in Southern Europe:
As I said, a place like Albufeira is choc-a-bloc with bars in the main areas that cater to British/Irish tourists. This is a big place on the main strip.

This "tower" of apartments is perhaps the defining characteristic of the tourist strip. You can't avoid it:
