First upload of a picture, hope I got it right. Perhaps someone more at one with nature can tell me why this small lake is so green?

Reminds me of candy for some reason.
Perhaps it's freshwater algae?

He's pretty nonchalant.

I was messing around with some exposure and stuff, and I had the camera around my neck and I was holding it with one hand, so I'm sure that's why it looks that way.

I just liked the lighting that night.

That's Duckweed. There's a pond near me which goes the same colour, like a thick green soup.
