I wish AI was never invented.

I wish the Missouri Synod of the Lutheran Church was never invented.

Their strict rigid rules about marriage and gender roles.

The concept of a 'messiah'.
The concept of gods.

I wish the United Methodist Church was never invented.

Nuclear weapons, bigotry (because most forms of bigotry were invented, including ableism, transphobia, homophobia, sexism, and racism), reality TV, social media (at least, in its current formation).

I feel like the internet itself is more of a neutral invention that could have been utilized for good, but with the invention of social media and its current lack of proper moderation, in which with proper moderation, it could serve as a better tool for socialization, learning, blogging, and content creation, I feel as though it's merely served to rot the minds of the majority of people who utilize it, especially when they utilize it constantly for hours a day.

I feel the same way about AI. It could have had ethical uses, but, unfortunately, it is trained on stolen data without compensation, consumes a massive amount of water, and contributes to the dystopia of today's society. If it were more like the portrayal in Courage the Cowardly Dog, it could be more ethical, but, unfortunately, it's severely unmoderated, and the restrictions many models do have only make it less pleasant than getting this information from other sources.
