I'm not making this up.
but of course
by the numbers-
Actor/Actress
To see an famous personality in your dream, represents your pursuit for pleasure. Your admiration of a particular celebrity may lead to a desire to have some of their physical or personality traits. Consider also who this famous person is and what characteristics you associate with him or her. These may be the same characteristics that you need to acknowledge or incorporate into yourself. The dream may also be a pun on his or her name- maybe you feel you need stronger willpower.
To dream that you are an actor, denotes that your hard work and labor will be well worth it in the end. It also indicates your strong desires to be recognized and acknowledged. Perhaps you are putting too much emphasis on your outward appearances. Alternatively, the dream may be analogous to the role that you are playing in your real life, whether it be the role of a parent, sibling, co-worker, etc. Or perhaps you are putting on an act or a facade. To dream that you are a celebrity, signifies your high aspirations that may be way beyond your reach at the present moment. You may just be setting yourself for a let-down. This dream may be trying to help you compensate for your own lack of self-confidence. You want to escape from your own reality and live the high life. You want to fit in with the smart set.
Clothing
To dream of your clothes, is symbolic of your public self and how you are perceived. It is indicative of the act you put on in front of others. Clothes are also an indication of your condition and status in life. Thus, if you wear clothes that do not suit you or that you normally would not wear, then it suggests that you are putting up a front and trying to deceive others. Something in your life is "unsuitable". The "awful synthetic clothing" you were browsing through may be a symbol of different personas you are evaluating, and/or putting on an act like someone that you are not. Alternatively, it could also mean that you are revealing a hidden part of yourself to the world.
To dream that you are wearing new [to you] clothes [or thinking about it], signifies new attitudes and a new persona. You are finding a different way of expressing yourself. If the price tags are still attached to the clothes, then it suggests that you are trying too hard to adapt to this new attitude. Perhaps it is not who you really are and you are not quite fitting in. To dream that you are shopping for or buying clothes, represents your anxieties about trying to fit in or being "well-suited" for your changing role.
Thrift Shop
To dream that you are at a thrift shop, suggests that there are things from your past experiences that you can still learn from. Don't underestimate something that is seemingly worthless. The thrift shop may also symbolize ideas or skills that you have forgotten and can draw from in a current situation. The darkness indicates that you feel that there was much in your back pages that you felt in the dark about, lacking sufficient knowledge. You were trying to find some useful tidbits of wisdom to guide you in today's world.
Robot
To see or hear a robot in your dream, indicates that you are going about life in a mechanical, methodical and rigid way. You have lost the ability to express your feelings. Alternatively, a robot symbolizes the way you view your waking/working life. The fact that the robotic voice emphatically said "systematic" reinforces this, that you may in your waking life be following a script and are lacking spontaneity, or otherwise feel unequipped to be more spontaneous and thus are more comfortable falling back on a routine. That 5 famous people [presumably with more persuasiveness and believability by dint of their fame] would emerge from a tracksuit to negatively and tersely critique you, is your dream's punny way of telling you that you are feeling [in waking life] like an "empty suit" or all show and no go, or that you feel you lack the right stuff to go "run with it," [run the social gauntlet] so to speak.
Guilt
To dream that you feel guilty about something, relates to how you are handling your successes and failures or competence and incompetence. You may feel undeserving of your achievements. Or on the other hand, you feel that you have let others down. Alternatively, the dream is symbolic of repressed and negative feelings that you may have about yourself.
You then went into the "health and beauty" department in search of a balm or tonic for your guilt, and seeing the sweets therein could just mean you want more sweetness in waking life, to distract you from ungood feelings of whatever sort. Candy [temporal good things in life, like riches and fame] always goes down easier than spinach- but spinach [spiritual growth via adversity] is good for you. Why couldn't God have made it taste like candy? Would that have made spiritual growth too easy and pointless? Your ungood feelings are your strict teachers, showing you viscerally [via experience, the best teacher of all] what you might work on in your waking life.
Foil
To see something foil-wrapped in your dream, indicates that you are trying to protect or insulate yourself from the harsh realities. The golden color reflects a spiritual reward, richness, refinement and enhancement of your desired environment. It also signifies your determination and unyielding nature. It signifies all the good things you want in life. To find something golden in your dream, indicates that you have discovered something valuable about yourself. This may be some hidden talent or knowledge.
However, the gold foil wrapping over the dandelion-flavored chocolate may also refer to the old saying, "all that glitters is not gold." To see chocolate in your dream, signifies love, celebration and self-reward. Maybe in waking life, you feel deprived of good and fun things. To see something related to dandelions in your dream, represents pleasant and joyous surroundings. Dreaming of eating something dandelion-flavored could mean you look wistfully on better times at an earlier point in your life. It could also mean that you fear bad health effects from indulging in rich food.
Wow, auntie, thank you so much for that in depth analysis. I didn't think there was much meaning in it, just a bunch of wacky stuff.
I see that I am completely wrong... I will need to read and reread your interpretations, but for now, I want to whack this dream I had out fast.
I was in a bar with some old school chums. The beer glasses had pyramid logos on them. I remarked to one friend that pyramid symbolism was everywhere, and he agreed. Then I started talking about the meaning of the 'eye in the pyramid' symbology, and another friend scoffed at my ideas. He said my arguments were stupid, and I pointed out to him that I wasn't arguing, merely discussing. Then he bought up some ancient slight that I'd made to him, some selfish thing I'd done in the past, and I got uncharacteristically upset and angry. I told him that we all did selfish things when we were young, but he persisted, and I got really angry and threw a pizza box at him.
Then we were all out walking a country trail. I was walking down a long muddy slope, and my footsteps were accompanied by music, fairly random harpsichord stabs. It was pretty atonal. I started talking about atonal music and Schoenberg to one of my friends. Then the guy I was arguing with in the bar threw a stick at me from behind, and it hit the back of my lower legs, very gently. And that was the end of our argument.
Then we came to a patch of flowers, they looked like chamomile, but they were hanging overhead, and I labelled them feverfew in my head. I picked about half the flowers and talked of their properties as my friends walked on. Then later they stopped to take a breather on a bench, and the place was surrounded by mugwort, and I again began picking them and talking about their qualities. Then I lost my dream consciousness.
Interestingly, mugwort is a herb that is reputed to increase vividity of dreams. Feverfew contains melatonin, which can aid sleep.

My dream last night was very fragmented, but interesting at the time. I only remember the last bit fairly well.
The first part of my dream is very disjointed. There was a beach and a few other people whom I knew fairly well in the dream but aren't real. I knew we were being chased/hunted by some shadowy organization/people because they wanted something we had. We'd left it in our van. When we knew the people were coming, we ran back to the van to save whatever we were hiding/protecting, but the van was completely empty. Someone else had already moved it to safety. (Edit: I think we were hiding cats.
)
One of my companions needed a medical scan that would take 6 hours. Another one needed a scan which would take all day, and he was terrified of the thought.
I don't recall if it was connected, but I was now elsewhere, in a big house (someone else's) with other people here and there. We had to attend some event the following day which would require me to dress formally. I went to shower to get ready and I started to cry, but stopped myself.
Apparently completely unconnected: I was in a house (alone) and my friend's pink, fuzzy blanket was laid out flat and neatly on the floor. It looked very soft, and I rolled myself up in it like a burrito.
Apparently unconnected again: A couple of others and I were in a huge, very old house. It was dark and dusty, like we were the first people there for a hundred years or more. There were small boxes of varying shapes and sizes all over the house. I looked in one, and found an ancient-looking deck of cards. Their box was fragile, but the cards seemed okay. I kept them and looked in the other boxes around it, but they were all empty. We speculated that someone else must have gotten there and looted the place before us and just missed the one thing. In another room, though, I found another box with cards--three old decks. One of the decks was very old and worn, and just had large, 3-digit numbers hand-written on them. The box next to this one had a few jewels. I took the one deck of card and the jewels. My companions then went all out looking in the other hundreds of boxes, occasionally finding jewels and pocketing them, until we ran into two people who were clearly hostile. They had come to loot the house themselves and they wanted what we'd stumbled across. I fled, holding my cards protectively.

I was on the ceiling of a huge tall cathedral somewhere and descended to earth accompanied by someone not known to me dressed in purple robes using the most steep and dangerous wooden steps imaginable.
Thankfully there was a choir to greet us at the foot. ![]()

last night i dreamed about a tiger that was a naughty boy who realized that he was not allowed to do things i knew were outrageous if i was to take care of him and let him be in my world.
he became my friend before the dream started i think because the first time i mixed thoughts with him i was stunned by our similarity and ease of agreement.
i like innocence and i hate contrivedness., and so my love is scattered all over the place.
i am off too sleep now with no passengers thank goodness. i will talk again when i can be bothered.

I found myself on a bed that put me 28feet in the air and I was trying to figure out how to get down.
The bedroom had a cathedral ceiling and I recall that every time I moved, this colossally high bed would sway into an inclination as tipping over, and I was very carefully sliding to the edge to see if there was a ladder of some sorts. ![]()
What's the quality of feelings in those dreams?

You and Russ both had cathedral dreams. What an interesting coincidence.

I had a crazy dream last night, and it was fun. A good escape from real life anyway until I wake up again.
Part 1 I was in a cafe type place, there were sofas in one part of the room and behind a bar there was a kitchen with 2 cookers and a work surface all around it. And this cafe was run by, you guessed it, talking chimps in clothes. (how predictable am I?) But they weren't the little ones you get on TV, these were adults. They were quite tall and were wearing old fashioned clothes and the females were wearing pinafores with frilly things on them. Anyway one of them told me that all the food was free and I could order whatever I felt like, and even make my own in the kitchen if I wanted. Well I made some orders, I forgot what exactly though. And the chimp was having a conversation with me, I love dream logic because the most ridiculous things feel really normal. Then I went to make myself something, so she showed me where the ready made pastry was, and I got a thin sheet of puff pastry and put this chocolaty cream on it, then built it up in layers like a cake. I put it in the cooker, but I didn't know if I could use the cooker and felt self conscious that the staff were looking at me funny. After a bit I decided to take the cake type thing out early, and it turned into a chocolate gateau. Then that chimp came up to me and started asking me questions about what I was doing, a bit like a teacher having a go at a pupil for doing something wrong. I was replying like a kid making an excuse, I didn't know what I did wrong exactly, and she was like "oh ok that's fine then."
Part 2 I was going on a short holiday and staying in a b'n'b, we already kind of owned one but someone else had taken our rooms away from us. Instead we were in this tiny house, big enough for a large baby doll I would say or a small wendy house. The ceiling in the bathroom was that low you had to basically fold yourself in half to sit on the toilet. The only bed was a tiny plastic thing in a colourful room, everything was small and childish. Me and my mum were complaining to each other about our lack of space. The mini house in the b'n'b was attached to a fancy dress and joke shop, and we were chatting to the shop owners. Then I was suddenly was transported to some outdoor place next to a camp site toilet, and I was ordering some cosplay costume of a non-existent cartoon/comic strip character from a "planet of the apes" type comic. It was a chimp/girl with a biker type outfit, a leather coat with all straps and things on and a logo of some organisation she's part of (something to do with world domination), boots with short thick heels and some other bits and bobs. And a similar costume of a similar character, with leather coat and boots. The costumes I ordered did not include a mask or anything, just the coat and boots. Then I was transported to my living room where I tried on the coats and stuff, one pair of shoes did not fit, but another pair fit perfectly. And both coats looked good, but I could only wear them in comic conventions because of the logos at the back of the coats (I was going to one anyway.) Then I was back at the shop and my costumes were hanging up on the hangers, and so was a hat of mine, people were looking at them with interest so I was getting agitated because they were mine and I couldn't get that message across. I started wearing them again and went outside, and walked a short distance but took them off because I just remembered they were cosplay.
Part 3 Me and the family were in a supermarket at the town we were staying in. I noticed my mum was hiding something in a blanket behind a big chimp teddy, and it was a real baby chimp. My mum was looking after him and he came from a zoo and needed hand rearing, he was not a pet and we didn't want people to think that when we took him out. It was impossible to keep him hidden because he was too curious and was poking his head out from behind the teddy and was looking around. Then my mum sat him on the counter, and I messed with his hair and felt his shoulder fur because I thought it was pretty awesome that I was finally within playing distance of a baby chimp. Anyway, I noticed his hair as quite thin and was turning light grey slowly, he could also talk and had a voice like a 4 year old child. He said "are you stroking my fur?" I was like "uh, well yeah, it's soft." And he was all "oh ok that's cool." Then my mum picked him back up and I messed up his now completely grey/white hair and he asked me what I was doing again, and I said the same again. My mum was walking in front of me next to my dad, and the baby chimp was on her back, and he started kicking and punching my dad. And I remember thinking "it may not hurt now, but in a few years time he could kill you." Anyway, I shouted to him "oi don't be peevish!..." I was going to say his name but forgot it.
THE END

I fell asleep on the couch at work while on call for night shift.. when day shift got to the office, I started having dreams with them in it. We all worked in a backyard. The sup's son had dragged a trampoline into the yard and was bouncing. The three sup's sat on a balcony above us and we were all sort of just mingling about. Then a HUGE party was going on at the house next door to us, one of those parties where people are just spilling out of the house. Lots of people I have known in my life were there. Girls started flashing their boobs around a campfire. One girl introduced me and her name was Breasts. She said if she wanted to shout 'boobies' whenever she felt like it, she had free license.
I woke up an hour and a half after my shift ended, very, VERY disoriented.
