Have a little bit more. Then, I won't feel so alone :)

I feel I don't respond the way people want me to respond a lot of the time.
People expect certain answers.
And I don't know the question.

Does that make sense?
Probably not :(

It does, but if there's one thing I've known all my life, that is just be yourself. You'll never please everyone so you might as well be true to yourself and please yourself.

You don't seem to have a problem being open and honest.

Just say what's on your mind and let them take your honesty however they like!

Well, there's that thing again: "just be yourself".
What does that even mean?
I don't know what my 'self' is.
I don't think I have a 'self'.

I hate it when my mum tells me to do that and if she catches me being myself, she becomes embarrassed and calls me a 10 year old. I need two months away from her. Wait a minute! I can't miss Easter turkey. One month than go there for Easter and than 4 more weeks - spend the night - 4 more weeks, Mother's Day.

Of course you do. You learn what yourself is especially well when you live alone. I've always known me and I've always known what I'm like and I've never been swayed by group/peer pressure. And I've always liked myself.

I've always danced to the beat of my own drum.

Find yourself and you will find bliss! Speak out. Stand up for yourself. Speak your mind.

Learn to find yourself. Spend time exploring your mind. Find out who you are. You are a good person. I'm sure you'll like what you find. :D Learn to love yourself and then, you'll know who you truly are! I'm sure you'll like you! :D

A lot of the time, "be yourself" means "don't be like yourself".
It's very confusing.
*hugs*

I lost myself when I found myself.
Because there is no 'self'.
Not many people know that.

I think cberg knows it.

Don't you like yourself? Why wouldn't you like yourself? You are you! I am right!

Unless you're a monster, why wouldn't you like yourself. You're a good person.

I like me well enough.
My 'self' can get lost :D
I want nothing to do with it.

There certainly is self - I don't know me 100% - I don't know how I'd react in a hold up situation or a live or die situation but I know me well enough to know I'm a nice person. I'm kind to people and animals. Animals love me.

I've been on this Earth long enough to know who I am and I like me. I'm a nice person. I try to be as open and honest as I can be!

It's up to you. A lot of people fool themselves. They lie and they eventually believe their own lies about themselves - BUT - If you do a full, thorough moral inventory of yourself as I have done - If you view yourself from an external point of view and REALLY, HONESTLY admit all your flaws as well as all your good points and really own them, You can get through!
