I've never been out of Australia.

The only place I've been overseas is Manly :)

Did you go to the Blue Mountains?

I was last in NSW three years ago.
I don't know how long I was there.
Maybe a week or so?
Stayed in a cabin overnight up in the Blue Mountains because the weather turned nasty when we were there.
I've done most of QLD, NSW, VIC, TAS, SA, WA.

I've been down to Perisher but (it wasn't snowing - bugger) there was snow on the ground though. I've been as far south as near the Victorian border (a place called Black Creek) near Adelong. Went to Adelong once too.

I've been as far north as the Gold Coast and as far west as Hill End.

I HAVEN'T been everywhere, man! :(

There's still time.
We just get in the car and drive.
No plans.

Of course, you need a car to do this :|

Still time? Nah, I'm getting too old.

My cousin, the 4WD nut and his wife traveled right around Australia and picked up work where they could.

Good night.

Raleigh must live in a really exotic part of Australia. I get the feeling she's around much that that is Australian in terms of flora and fauna. The have this line, I forgot what it's called, which separates "normal" flora and fauna from "Australian" fauna and flora--where marsupials and eucalyptus dominate.

Interestingly, the only marsupial outside that "line" is the opossum, found in the Americas.

flapjacks are pancakes to New Yorkers. Though we sometimes call them flapjacks, too.

Another regional battle: "faucet" vs. "spigot." New Yorkers use "faucet."

We all are Kraftie. You don't have to travel too far to see roos and koalas. Taronga Zoo's not that far away.

But seriously, when I was a kid, we used to go on holidays down to a place called Sanctuary Point (what a misnomer) and the kangaroos used to come around in the mornings. Sanctuary Point was only a couple of hours drive from the suburb I used to live in.

Ever heard of Wallace's Line? That's what it's called. It separates Australian-type animals and plants from "regular" animals and plants.
