I'm wondering if the Wallace line has something to do with the nature of the ocean around New Guinea--particularly the ocean currents which affect climate.

The Gulf Stream makes London, despite being 10 degrees more north in Latitude than NYC, quite a bit warmer in winter--about 4 Degrees Celsius warmer on average. London is about 51 Degrees North; NYC almost 41 Degrees North.

I went on a few dates with that girl but then she said she doesn't want to see me again. She's done with me.

The sun is shining and there's a lot of life out there all for my taking, so I'm going to leave early and walk to work.

That makes sense what you say--and I've heard that theory, too.

But I get the feeling it's beyond that. there is something that's adversive to Australian species to the west of the Wallace line. They just don't go beyond that Line. Very fascinating!

Yeah, you're right. I just looked up Wallace Line. Our animals are very different.

I just came up with that theory then. I'd never even given it any thought before. Climate perhaps? I don't know.

I think they've got Kookaburras in Africa (or wherever Tarzan is supposed to be from) because every Tarzan movie I've ever seen always has Kookaburra sound effects in the background. Either that, or it's just Hollywood's idea of what's in Africa.

According to the interwebs, the Kookaburra is native to Australia and New Guinea. So it probably just those crazy filmmakers moving species around again.

I HATE that. My monster-in-law (Hellen Back) used to do that to me all the time. She lived with us. She knew it was my spot at the table and Kato never used to say anything and I was too polite.

In the end, it was kind of like musical chairs. We'd practically race each other for my spot. It was mine, long before she came to live with us.

I'm sure she did it just to try to get a rise out of me because she knew it upset me.

The Endone flooded me with REALLY strange, bordering on scary (if I could get scared), vivid dreams last night.

Boo's hiding under the chair with towels draped all over, it ready to spring out at me. He wants to play peek-a-Boos. He thinks I don't know he's under there. I'm going to scare the bejesus out of him. He likes that.

Oh, I spent too long typing and he gave up. :(
