I am thinking about going to college again,

I want to not be low life drug user all my life, I want to be a high level drug user lol

But, alas, I have anxiety with new environments and thats what kept me from going last time. Also I get so paranoid being on college campuses, since I was expelled from my last school for a dumb reason. I would probably have to cut back on the weed, not cause I would be intoxicated but to increase memorization. I would study sobor and go to class and take test high, thats what I did last time in college and it worked well.

That was very trippy. I like it. I should be watching more of those.

Hey, I'd like your opinions on this:

Work is sending me for a medical fitness examination, of which involves a visit to a psychiatrist.

I don't know whether to tell him straight out that I have Asperger's, or to play games with him and just describe my life to him and see if he can work it out.

But if I choose the latter, I'll have to be careful not to use terms like 'Special Interests' because then, he'll know I know what I've got.

I only knew the term after I accepted my diagnosis and read up on Asperger's. I knew I'd had them all my life. I just didn't know there was a term for them or that they were a part of Autism. But if I mention terms like 'Special Interests':
a) It'll be a dead giveaway;
b) He'll know I know what I've got;

Should I test him to see how good he is and to see if he can pick it up? I think that would be fun :)

Why do you care if he notices or even knows?

Are you worried about your job finding out?

I would go in normally and just tell life story, I don't care what they label me.

Games. Games are always better :twisted: .
I think now that you're aware of the term "special interests" that your perception has altered and thus you see it as a dead giveaway. But I don't think it would be a clear hint to someone who isn't immersed in ASD as much as we are (as regulars of WP). Even as a shrink, he/she sees hundreds of patients who have things other than ASD, so they won't be as conscious of it.

My work already knows. I told them!

I just want to test how good a psychiatrist he is.

And I thought it would be fun.

I love the fact that I've got AS! And I'm not afraid of anyone else knowing it. I'm proud of who I am and it makes me smart in a lot of ways NT's can't be!

You're right Aurora. I'm leaning more towards testing him out. :twisted:

But being a psychiatrist, I'm sure he'd know terms like Special Interests, Hyperfocus. Those aren't words used by ordinary people.

I won't tell him. I'll just tell him about my life and see if he can figure it out.

I don't know, I might look into it. I don't know how financial aid works with that and I need to work on my social skills which is why I should go to a real college. I mean I am very anti social and I am on drugs that make me more anti social so I kinda wish everyone would cease to exist for the rest of my existence.

Yeah... see I need to work on that,

Why not? It'll be fun to see if he can work it out. If he's any good anyway, I shouldn't need to tell him. He should know.

When I was a kid (during forced diagnosis phase) I went through several therapists and shrinks. I always opted for games.
There was this one guy who suddenly started calling me "Jennifer" one day (which is not even remotely close to my name) and I decided to see how long it would last. Well the answer was, several weeks :mrgreen: . My mom ruined it though when he said it in front of her one session. I was read the riot act for that. I don't know why, she should have been more concerned that he didn't even read his notes before sessions, if he had he would have known my name. :?

P.S. : if you haven't figured it out by now, I'm probably not the best person to take advice from on this sort of thing.

And if he doesn't pick it up and gives me a bad report, I'll have proof that he's no good, because I've been diagnosed twice by two other, independent psychiatrists and I'll be able to discredit him. SEE :D

Financial aid works the same for online classes.
But yes, if you need to work on your social skills (of course I don't know what that would be like at all :lol: ) then in-person classes would be better.

I'm just saying in my case I wouldn't.
It would be a waste of time.
