No, I wouldn't test the psychiatrist.

Why not? It'll be fun to see if he can work it out. If he's any good anyway, I shouldn't need to tell him. He should know.

I'm just saying in my case I wouldn't.
It would be a waste of time.

I beg to differ. I don't think you read my last post properly:

'And if he doesn't pick it up and gives me a bad report, I'll have proof that he's no good, because I've been diagnosed twice by two other, independent psychiatrists and I'll be able to discredit him. SEE? :D'

Yes, you're going for a psychiatric evaluation for work?
So, your employer will receive a report?
And you're planning to test out your psychiatrist?
And if he doesn't give you a good report and fails to pick up your autism, you're going to discredit him?

That'll work.

Least said.

How many times are you seeing this psychiatrist?

I am not obligated to tell him.

If he's any good, he should pick it up.

If he doesn't then he's no good at what he does.

Work already knows.

Don't think of it as testing him out.

If he gives me a bad report and can't detect that I've got AS, he IS no good. He will be proven WRONG on the strength of 2 other psychiatrists (one of which saw me 3 to 4 times a week for over 6 months). You only need to know me to know it's true.

That will null and void his bad report.

Why can't you see that?

Once, for probably one hour but with these people, I just spill my guts and they get a very VERY good idea of who I am!

I'm always very brutally honest with them and very forthcoming!

Oh, if it's only one session, then at least drop some hints.
I'm not sure how you are around them (for me, since I'm more awkward when I'm in those uncomfortable situations, it's probably fairly obvious), but it may not be as obvious if you're comfortable in the situation.

I am comfortable in those situations. I even tell complete strangers how I am.

If I tell him half of what I'm like, he should be able to pick it up. Everything about me screams Aspie. It shouldn't be that hard for him, if he's any good at what he does. My eye contact problems should also be a dead giveaway straight away.

The one otter that's hanging back and letting the other otter handle all of the obligatory socializing (with the human); that one is me  .
She/he looks super unimpressed. 8)
