i was born sans alcohol genes, which is strange because alcoholism runs in my family tree. i can only have maybe a half-cup at most of even weak 3% beer. this said, the best beer i ever had [and the only one which i could drink the whole can without retching] was an old can of german bock beer that was dark and particulate and somewhat syruppy/malty but no hoppy head. the absense of hops was the main reason it went down so well. 2nd place was the original dos equis dark malt, it also had very little in the way of hops. i really would love to try molsen golden, consumer reports did a beer test a while back, and said that molsen golden had the best combo of maltiness, body and lack of bitterness, of any tested beer. i HATE bitter anything.

Q- choose one- original absinthe, or porter ale?

"Ghost" - this time with tina turner playing oda mae brown. she was the original choice to play that role but turned it down because they didn't want to pay her as much as she wanted.

Q- choose one of these songs to do a new version of- "my boy lollipop" or "flat foot floogie."

it was a choice insofar as eating toast and jam versus poptarts. my faves are older jazz in general- 2-beat, dixieland, ragtime, swing/boogie-woogie/shuffle, big band, west coast cool, 70s cool.

Q- same question 8)

I have to say dixieland. I am a trombonist and glissando's are just too much fun to pass up. I love free jazz too. Hell i love all jazz.

What is your fav big band instrument?

i have always preferred the old-fashioned recording bass [tuba with forward bell] over the string bass, in most jazz ensembles. other than that, i am partial to the contrabass saxophone, they are becoming increasingly popular in brazilian jazz ensembles.

Q- what is your favorite musical instrument in general? [even if you have to invent it, like a pedal trombone for example]
