Today I learnt that the janitor at my old primary (elementary) school retired on Friday, on her 80th birthday, after doing janitorial work at the same school for 60 years! She started working there when she was 20. Wow. 8O

TIL about "Copyparty". It's for sharing files, music, videos, etc. between devices:

The idiom "death warmed over" has a different root than I'd thought. To me, it brought images of a dead body left out in the heat, which would be much worse in looks (& smell) than just a dead body. (I've used it all thru life w/o thinking about it literally. I think my interpretation is much more visual than the one it's from.)

For best results you can heat up a fruit filled Cornish style pasty on a shovel, over a candle

Makes perfect sense to me does that

I learned...

www.slashgear.com - what-does-fob-mean-definition-key-fob-explained wrote:
The word "fob" — which comes from "fuppe," the German word for "pocket" — is defined as either the pocket the watch is kept in, the chain attached to the pocket watch, or — most importantly — any ornament attached to the chain. Eventually, "fob" would denote items hanging not just from our pocket watch chains, but also our keys.

That if you're in a (large) room with someone who doesn't know you're there, you're likely to hear them fart.
