Toro Loco Hermanito

A very nice budget-priced red wine from Aldi. On offer right now at the astonishing price of £3.35 per bottle. Goes well with mince pies, which I'm also partaking of.

Speaking of which, our Aldi now has some self-service checkouts.

It let my baked beans through today without protesting. Do you buy their standard beans or the 28p budget version?

The one with the blue label. I used to get the cheap ones but they started putting less and less in the tins

The blue label beans themselves were 28p not so long ago. Heinz beans are now around £1.50 per can.

It's a scandal. Beans on toast used to be a cheap snack. Now they're a luxury item.

Nearest thing to a cheap snack now might be the Sweet and Sour Chicken ready meals at Aldi and Asda, both at 85p. I wonder how they can offer them at that price?
