Ok, I'm going to check FB to see if my SIL has posted photos of Echo (god, I'll never like that name). If she has THEN I'll be making my unhappy post, because random high school friends she hasn't seen in 15 years got to see the pics before Echo's entire paternal side of the family did.

Wish me luck.

i can't i'm trying to work out what your saying :?

I have a new niece born on the 1st. Me, mum, dad and my other brother are still waiting to receive pictures of her, but there my sister in law goes posting them on Facebook as soon as she was born.

Some people seem to do such a thing so they can get you to join up and "friend" them, so you can see them that way and comment (manipulating you into it).

Not saying that's what's happening, but I've seen it.

(No, I don't have FaceValue.)

Well if that's the case, the birth of mum and dad's new granddaughter is a sh***y opportunity to do any manipulating. Mum doesn't have a computer and dad & stepma are computer illiterate as it is (play solitaire and use google, that's all they can do). Oldest bro doesn't have a computer.

The point is we shouldn't have to join FB and seek the pictures out, we're immediate family. Even if we were all on FB, we shouldn't be seeing them at the same time as 400 old high school friends. SIL's parents are on FB though, but any bet they were called at midnight as soon as she was born. Maybe it's a deliberate family snubbing.

I'm not passing these pics onto mum and dad either because I shouldn't have to, they should be sent them directly.

It's Presidents's Day. My kiddos get the day off, but I don't get to stay home with them. It's off to work I go! I know, boo hoo. Poor me.

Snow is going to hit me and fog is cancelling Olympic events in Sochi.

My roommate moved out today to be with one of her friends whose roommate also left. It's not because of anything personal, and she's only moving to the 3rd floor of our building, but it's still kind of sad. I might get a new roommate soon, but I don't know who.

I hope you get someone who's nice.

I wish "bogan" was their excuse but it's not :?

Anyway, I'm printing off the pictures and giving them to mum and dad this afternoon (I'll ring dad beforehand and tell him how I found them though). I left my brother a little note on FB to expect some ire. I should have said something in the open on his status update or something. He deserves to be shamed in public.

what about cub's cashed up bogans , or educated bogans? their was a barrister interview recently Mark Holden x factor judge ???) and he claimed if his comrades (said in a ocker accent) if they had a 50's Australian accent they would be seen as suspect or pompous?

Their has been an explosion of Bogan ism in oz post Keating 96  , sometimes I yearn for 50's Australia even if I'm not a fan of England 8O I am a Francophile after all

Hmm, educated bogans sound about right. I wouldn't say they're cashed up as they still can't afford a wedding. They're both degree qualified. I'd say my brother is more of a yobbo, and my SIL is a weird new ageist who is positive all the time.

^^^

it's strange these new breed of bogans/yobs previously it was somebody who was poor and uneducated I blame Howard

still are they any worse than Lord Alex Downer who acts more superior than he is?

i think the only person fit to lead the Liberal party is Malcom in the wrong party Turnbull

so that's what made me unhappy today being reminded that we have our own Bush 2 as leader , hopefully a one term one ....

My Crapcast(my word for Comcast) cable/net bill went up by almost $30 8O I got service a little over year ago; I had service in my name when I lived with my parents but I changed that to their name abit before I moved & signed up for service with them again a bit after. I was paying $95.76 here but my bill is now $124.59 which is an increase by $28.83 :x I think I had got some promotional deal when I signed up for service that ended after a year. My service here is a lot better than when I lived with my parents(they still have problems like frequent outages) but it's still not perfect & I feel like the cost is high for what I get. I may try calling Crapcast within the next couple days & talk to billing & ask why it went up & gripe alittle about the cost & hope the rep would offer me another promotional deal. This is a bad time for my bill to go up because my I have to really watch my fiances rite now & probably will next month as well :( I really should be more careful with my money sometimes thou I am for the most part but there's a few things I spend money on that I don't need like eating out which I cut back on a little
I called today & asked the rep why my bill went up. He explained that I had been in a promotional period for a year & that the promotion is less for the 2nd year & ends by the 3rd year & it goes to the regular rate. He checked without me having to ask to see if I could qualify for any other promotional deals. One deal would of reduced my bill alittle & doubled my net speed but I would of lost about half my channels. I wouldn't mind losing all the sports & news & I'd be OK with losing HBO & Encore but I don't want to lose other channels; even if I almost never watch them I like having more channel options & I don't really need my net speed doubled but wouldn't mind it. He said they'd be offering different deals next month & said to call back at the end of March. He said one of the deals if for existing customers. When I call again I'm going to mention how I had called about my bill going up & what the guy told me.
