4k and 5k are terms used to refer to horizontal screen resolutions of the order of 4000 and 5000 pixels, equal to 3840 pixels × 2160 lines and 5120 pixels × 2880 lines respectively. i think.

honestly..i think you'll reach 5k posts way before 5k resolution replaces 1080p as the common standard. :P
