Hmm, I used to think I was like the both of you...over time I'm finding interesting differences. I still think personality wise we fit together like cup-and-ball game... I never "interpret" the rules to my aim. I try to understand the rules and follow them. If they don't make a lick of sense, and are just barriers set up to annoy me... I disregard them in creatively subversive ways. I have no time to follow ignorant authority. I confess, I'm turning into a hippy by the day... and the scary part is... I enjoy it.
I didn't mean to speak for gwenevyn; chances are I'm
a lot more chaotic neutral than she is; I'd qualify myself as "chaotic neutral with good tendencies"; gwenevyn is, I'm guessing, closer to chaotic good. Or maybe something else; I'll let her address that aspect of things; I simply suppose...
Remember when you said that the
best of teams is composed of a set of different charactes each of which fulfills a different role? I think the something similar is true with small groups of people; it can be antagonistic towards an ultimate cohesiveness, but diversity of thought and belief in a small group is something that I've come to respect and value. Which is why I mainatain that you and I could be friends; you could be the laid back hippy guy (or however you like to qualify it); I could be the crazy "let's push the evelope and challenge everything" guy. In effect, such differences amongst our team of friends (we'd need a few more to make it work) would balance each other out, and, ideally, synergize.
We've got an A-Team going on here! Graelwyn, you could be the brilliant, cynical pessimist who challenges all of my crazy ideas, and tells Pugly he needs to be more assertive. Oh, uh, something like that.
Good fortune,
