Yep, once more, it is time for you, yes, you, the WP voting public, to vote for one of a number of potential avatars for me.

Because it's been a while, I'll restate the ground rules.

1. I will present a variety of images for use as an avatar for myself. In cases where I will be basing the images on a video screenshot, I will provide the appropriate video (I don't have a PhotoBucket account), as well as, if appropriate, a rough time of when I intend to screenshot.

2. You vote in the above poll for which one you think is most appropriate, or that you like most.

3. Then, once I reach 18000 posts, I will choose one of the top ones voted for. Not necessarily the most popular, but certainly one of the top three.

So, let's get rolling.

Image

Blake is sitting up in a tree, Travis is sitting up in another tree. Unless they're planning to throw nuts at one another, I don't see much of a fight developing before it gets light.

Kerr Avon from Blake's 7, a sardonic computer hacker and would-be revolutionary played by Paul Darrow.

Who's afraid of the big bad wolf?

Bigby Wolf, detective extraordinaire, from the Fables comics.

I will not...

Number Six, The Prisoner, as played by the late Patrick McGoohan

Image

There are worlds out there where the sky is burning, and the sea's asleep, and the rivers dream; people made of smoke and cities made of song. Somewhere there's danger, somewhere there's injustice, somewhere else the tea's getting cold.

The Seventh Doctor, as played by Sylvester McCoy, from Doctor Who

Image

I always enjoy seeing Adam in pain.

Jamie Hyneman, co-host of MythBusters

Image

I've always been secretly afraid that a thing might happen that we couldn't deal with.

The first Professor Bernard Quatermass, as played by Reginald Tate, from The Quatermass Experiment

Image

This is not time to say elementary...

Robert Downey Jr as Sherlock Holmes in the upcoming movie.

Hmm... tough choice. The grinning Avon cracks me up, though. Besides Blake's 7, I also remember seeing Paul Darrow play Tekker in the Sixth Doctor episode "Timelash."

I have always admired the character of number Six as only Patrick McGoohan could have played it. The only other person that even comes close is William Shatner in the original Star Trek. They weren’t Namby Pamby like the ones that came later. Those were the days. And you know who you were then. Girls were girls and men were men.

He also played the role of Captain Hawkins, I believe, in Doctor Who and the Silurians. So he played a role in Doctor Who both before and after Blake's 7.

Jamie Hyneman is in the lead. But c'mon people, let's not leave it there!

It has been agreed... My vote goes to Quatermass, since that is the most logical choice.

However, I predict that Hyneman will win again.

Jamie Hyneman is in the lead, followed by Number Six and Professor Quatermass. C'mon, let's keep it going. Still time left.
