(From Wikipedia)"Deinonychus (IPA: [dai.ˈna.ni.kəs]) meaning 'terrible claw' (Greek δεινος meaning 'terrible' and ονυξ/ονυχος meaning 'claw') was a 7-10 foot long, carnivorous dromaeosaurid dinosaur species from the Early Cretaceous Period. Its name refers to the unusually large, sickle-shaped talon (on the second toe of each hind foot), which was probably held retracted while the dinosaur walked on the third and fourth toes. It was commonly thought that Deinonychus would kick with the sickle claw to slash at its prey but recent tests on reconstructions of similar Velociraptor talons suggest that the claw was used to stab, not slash. Like with all dromaeosaurids the tail was stiffened by a series of ossified tendons. This might have given Deinonychus greater balance and turning ability."

Yes i was obessed about dinosaurs as a kid in fact when i was obessed with them i got lots of dinosaur toys and played with them until about 6th grade.

I suppose I obsessed a little over dinosaurs as a kid. I mean, I read about them and stuff like that. I dunno, I think that as a kid my big obsession was science and because dinosaurs were a part of science I liked them too.

The Royal Tyrell Museum in southern Alberta is one of my favourite attractions. Among other things, they have a T-Rex skeleton on display.

I don't know if I was obsessed, but I was certainly interested. I think kids are facinated by dinosaurs because they were real monsters. Someone told me once that the real reason is because they were real and they're DEAD!

Yes, I very much liked Dinosaurs as a kid, and I still am interested in them. I still have a big book about 'em, and got given one for my birthday. I was also overjoyed when the BBC program, Walking with Dinosaurs, was aired on TV. I actually was sad at the end of the last episode, where the meteor strikes. I also liked Jurassic Park and it's sequels, just because of the Dinosaur factor. I got as scared as heck, though.

I loved dinosaurs as a kid, and I still love them now. Why, just a couple of months ago I went back to the Natural History Museum in London, a visit to which was my yearly birthday treat for quite a few years in a row, and I was babbling away to my friend about the dinosaur bones as if I was a five-year-old. She did very well to stay interested, I think

And while I was there, I bought a t-shirt with a T-Rex head on it that reads "Bite Me!" Kinda kills two birds with one stone, that

I never really had an obsession with donosaurs, but I liked Jurassic Park and Walking With Dinosaurs.
