My cat gets hysterical paralysis every single time something new is brought into the house!
My son brought in a new backpack for school and the cat had to actually drag its back legs over to the the new item, sniff it for about a half hour and then "viola!" the cat walks again! The first time this happened, I thought someone injured the cat. I ran around screaming bloody murder that somebody better own up to hurting my dear pet and the bleedin' kitty was like this because I bought new sofa pillows. Within minutes, it was "cured". It could be used for one of those fake religious revivals that they show on cable
