Ever since I got WP, I have an ever-decreasing interest in facebook. But its all about relativity here. If I didn't get a WP account, I would still like facebook.

Anyone else who has/got facebook before WP find this trend?

Your post reminded me that I hadn't visited Facebook for a while, so I went and a friend had posted this ..

THE FACEBOOK TRICK: press up,up, down, down, left, right, left, right,b, a, Enter key, then left click and scroll down and magic circles will appear. the only way to get rid of them are to log off or refresh the page...

I got it to work! :D

Yeah, I go through phases of Facebook and visit it less if I have other website interests.

Meh, I have a facebook account by I only CHECK on it once a day at most, not spend hours and hours a day on it  . I spend more time on various internet message boards including WP.

Actually yes, although it didn't quite connect that my loss of interest in facebook coincided with coming to WP.
It makes sense, though... gee, do I want to talk to people I used to know, most of whom I didn't even like back when I knew them, or a bunch of fascinating people who, unlike the rest of the world, I can actually understand and relate to... hmm, tough choice.. lol

I prefer communicating online with people I DONT know rather than people I do know.

Mainly because people who dont know me will never know what a awful human being I can be.

Well, you can only spend so much time a day online without becoming an internet addict (or make the addiction become worse if you are already an addict, which I suspect I am). So if I spend more time on WP it means less time on FB.

I'm not hugely interested in it, but as it seems to be my only method of keeping in contact with some people, I check it daily and spend a maximum of about 15-20 minutes on it, usually because people have sent me iHearts or whatever and I like to send them back or because someone has sent me a message.

Yes you are SO not alone there ! :D Ever since I joined Wrongplanet, i've been forgetting about facebook, however I still go on facebook once and a while and before WP, I was stuck on facebook and sometimes it would last till the whole day on it... Until some people on my contact list for some reason started getting annoyed at me because of it... I had to find another addiction so I tried watching videos on youtube until I came across a few autistic videos and someone had mentioned this site..

I joined this site and then the next thing you know, my addiction to facebook has become reduced... I guess this site is the solution to get of the addiction of facebook  YAY WP :D

I have an account on Hyves (Dutch Facebook). I made a site there since a lot of people were inviting me and thought of it as a social experiment. Now I left it and got busy with other things. It is too shallow, no real contacts and is not really making me feel good. It does not have a real emotional attachment.
