What do your parents do?

My parents are lower class working class. My mother used to be a nurse at a hospital but is now a cashier. My father doesn't have a steady job, but is usually a production-line worker.

I read somewhere that people with autism generally have well educated white-collar working parents. Is it generally true, or is it more appropriate to say that only those parents with white collar jobs can afford to seek help from psychologists?

father is an electrician, mother doesn't work.

My mom is a secretary, my dad is an IT professional.

I also come from a lower middle class family. My dad, who didn't finish high school, works for the city. He basically cleans up parks. My mom who doesn't have anything beyond a high school diploma works as a bus attendant.

My mum is a nurses assistant in a nursing home. My dad is a now retired road construction supervisor.

Dad is a business consultant.
Mom works in retail.

My dad is an appraiser and my mom is a nurse and an OB one.

My dad is a crimminal defense attorney. Mom is a 3rd grade teacher.

my father was a property developer. he is still alive and he is 90. i was adopted at birth and he was 53 at the time i was adopted, but i had a great time in childhood. my mother was about 45 i think when i was adopted. my real parents were killed and they were 16 years old and they died in a motorcycle accident. i do not know much about it.

my father used to buy large tracts of land, and he planned residential development for them and he got roads built by graders and road working machines to a specification for the property he bought., then he had severage put in, and power poles for electricity put in
and had the roads kerbed and guttered by his concreters.

then he built houses in all the 1000 square meter plots he had designed, and at the end of the development, he sold them all for a great profit.

unfortunately he now has a fairly advanced dementia (bad enough so that if he gets drunk he will sign anything) so my sister who is a b***h has swindled most of the money from his estate to feather her nest.she is his executor and guardian.

My dad is being very dead, and my mom is retired/running a hobby farm. (Few people guess that retirement can be really hard work.)

Yeah, you're probably right on the second part, better diagnostic help available to those of the upper-middle class, and what i see recently as parents constant need to send children to psychologists if they act upset even for just like 5 minutes one day.


But my parents are split. My dad had 2 masters degrees (aerospace engineering and nuclear physics). He first worked for a firm that specialized in government contracts (my dad worked mostly in helicopter design, but did work on some of the lunar module lander for the apollo missions and some fighter jet work). He then later went back to school and got his masters in nuclear physics and went into Power Plant design.
My mom was a high school dropout and worked as a secretary her whole life.

Not to sure about the details of the class system, but I think we are middle class.

My mum is a manager at a law firm, and my dad is a mini-cab driver. Two different ends of the spectrum there!

I was raised by a single mom who was an LP Nurse.
We were quite poor, and often lived paycheck-to-paycheck. That would make us lower class, I guess.

Dad's a bum in denial and mom works at a Japanese restaraunt.

Solid middle class. Dad is a retired journeyman pipe fitter and mom is a retired probation officer.
