Usually "for the win." Basically "[Thing] ftw!" means "I think [Thing] is awesome."

The origin of the phrase comes from the old TV game show Hollywood Squares, a sort of Tic-Tac-Toe played by trying to figure out whether a celebrity's answer to a question is correct or not - if you guess right, your symbol (X or O) goes into that square. One of the show's catchphrases, used when someone was about to try to take the square that would win the game, was, "I'll take <celebrity name> for the win!"

I was thinking that, jawbrodt. Except I put a rude word in instead of dashes.

I didn't put the dashes in there, it happened automatically. It was supposed to be the F-word, but didn't come out that way.LOL

FTW is the opposite of WTF, both in spelling and (sort of) the meaning. Funny how we just had that discussion this Friday in Philosophy class. (random, ain't it?)
