irritated by little things?

I was talking to my parents about the new Harry Potter theme park and mention that Dumbledore's Office DOESN'T have his picture in it!! ! and they are making a big deal of this "create your own wand" shop thing!! ! In Deathly Hallows Ollivander's Wand shop IS DESTROYED! Voldemort trying to get the Elder's Wand ransacked the place and kidnapped him and TRYED to find out WHERE the Elder's Wand was!! !! !! Also since Dumbledore IS DEAD his portrait is hanging IN HIS OFFICE. Also Don't get me started ON NO WEAZLEY'S JOKE SHOP COME ON!! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! ! I mention the picture thing and my parents laughed and said I should email Universal. They found it funny I was having an issue with a picture BUT HE IS DEAD AND HIS PICTURE IS IN HIS OFFICE! So IMO the office WILL NOT BE ACCURATE and making a big deal out of OMG wand Shop UH IT'S DESTROYED IN DEATHLY HALLOWS! I kind of am curious what else did they get wrong!? LOL! So as you can tale I'm kind of irritated by this as a Harry Potter fan LOL!

Perhaps the inaccuracies should be expected of a theme park. I was prepared for disappointment the moment I read about that latest development. I would prefer a Harry Potter museum over a theme park. I'm sure it would be a more precise rendition of the series (i.e. including the picture of Dumbledore that should be in McGonagall's office. Because it is actually her office, not Dumbledore's. Or for the sake of long-term accuracy, we could call it the headmaster's office.)

this will sound sarcastic but it truly is NOT- for an alternate view, maybe there is utility in noticing little irritating things in that it distracts one's mind from truly horrible things like death, cancer, age-related decrepitude etc. that bother some folk from time to time. IOW it feels bad but it is doing good for you. i hope this made sense to you.

Good point it's the Headmaster/mistress office to be exact LOL! Glad to know someone else is as interested in this development as I am LOL! YA!

It seems as though attention to detail is too multifaceted to summarize unilaterally.
In the case of Harry Potter, it is an amusing albeit unnecessary observation that there are inaccuracies in the theme park. In the cases of most people without Harry Potter preoccupations, it would be a frivolous distraction. When the person in question IS blissfully and irrevocably fascinated by the Harry Potter series and its intricacies...Maybe it isn't a distraction from death. It could be a distraction from the world, I'll grant you that, but I would guess that the majority of the obsession is based on genuine and avid interest.

On another note... it is absurd that one of the attractions that the theme park features is "Filch's Emporium of Confiscated Goods."

I can completely relate to feeling irritated by small inaccuracies in things I love. But in this case I think they probably designed the park from earlier in the HP storyline, before Dumbledore died and before the wand shop was destroyed. Especially since the final movies haven't been released yet and I'm guessing the park is based more on the movies than the books.

i wasn't denigrating them, but pointing out a potentially useful alternate view of the situation, one of external perspective. i too get hung-up over details relating to the faithfulness of a movie to a book or other such things, so i often fail to follow my own advice either.

Understood I can see how that would be a healthy approach.

I get irritated easily a lot. Maybe due to my age, and it's just normal, but I do get stressed very easily.
