I was on gameFAQ'S and talked about FFXIII and what I felt was right and what was wrong with the game IMO. I'm only up to chapter 4 (out of 13) so YES I'm judging the game only after 4 chapters. Someones reply was (Are you seriously judging this game when you're only on Chapter 4? Are you ****ing kidding me?) I thought this was a very harsh/rude reply. :-( I'm glad WP is nice. :-)

I've only been a prominent member of this board and one other message board and I have had pleasant experiences on both these boards. I wasn't able to stay long enough on the other message boards for me to get an accurate flavor as to the overall personality of the members of those message boards.

However, I will comment on one message board. The mods and admins on that particular message board (which shall remain nameless) had a very authoritarian "I'm always right and you're always wrong and I will ban you if keep on arguing!" attitude.

That's because it was GameFaqs, a bunch of video game loving nerds, including me. If somebody find something wrong with your post there they say it and it wont be sugarcoated. The only place here with a similar attitude is the Religion board, and even then it isn't the same.

I do find this to be the kindest, most peaceful messageboard I've ever come to. There seems to be an overall atmosphere of love for one's fellow man here. I believe there are several causes for this. First, most of us know what it feels like to be mocked and know that everyone else here has been mocked in the past too. Second, this is a place where we all feel we can finally be our true selves, so we act like our true selves (for the most part) rather than trying to look tough, which tends to result in trolling in other forums. There might be some other causes.

Just Googled this GameFAQs website. I'm shocked at the amount of personal details they require for you to register. I don't see any reason why they need my name and address; most forums are happy with a valid e-mail account.

I enterered fake details, I'm not willing to give that sort of information to any website.

I think I have a membership there but I don't really post because being competitive isn't my type of thing and I would just lol if they were replying to me with that same message and then come up with a cool excuse, because generally, I'm quite a busy guy so I wouldn't have time to be playing those games frequently.

Sometimes in situations like this zelda is just play along with it.

When it's not being taken over by trolls, Retrojunk is a good place. When the trolls take it over however, it's nasty.

Agreed. But you know alot of gaming sites have alot of trolls, infact you can't bump into a forum without one, just the way mods deal with them.

Nsider2 is filled with idiots. I can't remember when I last logged in. I get bored and leave. I just lose interest. Then I might pop back in in the future. That place was also where some guy used me to get something from me and when he didn't, he stopped talking to me.

I have yet to find another forum as friendly, informative and troll-free (I know we get them sometimes) as this one. The only other one I like is a Tourettes support group and that had to get shut down a few months back because some jerks decided to come on and mock us. I haven't actually registered on other message boards purely because I have seen how rude and mean some people can be. Internet bullying is just as upsetting as regular bullying. (Avoide the MSN message boards like the bubonic plague btw)

This is, without a doubt, the kindest forum I've ever been a member of. Of course, all other forums are going to look mean by comparison. :)

I have to say that the meanest, nastiest website I've ever been a member of was Gaia Online, especially their General Discussion board. It's almost like a contest to see who can be the cruelest person. :? I remember once when I posted my pic on it, someone put me in their list of "Ugliest Members".
